I’m excited to share Blue October‘s latest music video “Sway” directed by the crazy talented Bongani Mlambo. This was such an awesome shoot to be a part of. These guys are super cool & fun to work with. I’m grateful for the experience. Check it out, like & share!
Last night I graduated with a BFA in Film/Video from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am so fortunate to have walked the stage with eight of my friends and fellow filmmakers who I shared my college experience with. Many thanks to our professors, Bart Weiss, Ya’Ke Smith, and Mark Clive. You have inspired us and given us the knowledge and drive to achieve our goals.
Join us for the Shorts Program Two on Sunday, June 9th, 1:00pm at the Kessler Theater to see the newest version of Solstice. We have made some changes since the last screening, including some incredible sound design by Johnny Marshall. Tickets are $10, available online or at the door.
There will be a Q&A afterward. Bring all your friends!
Last night we got to celebrate Solstice at our cast & crew wrap party. It was so great to see our little family again. Jacob and his mom brought us all a huge gift basket full of all kinds of goodies and many memories from the set! It was the sweetest thing ever.
I am so blessed to have had so many amazing people work on this film. I love them all so much. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Solstice, and to make many more films with these people in the future.
I am so happy to announce that last night at the 11th annual SFVO Underexposed Film Festival, Solstice took home two awards—Best Director and Best Picture! Huge thank you to everyone involved in the film. You should all be so proud. The film would not be what it is without all of you. THANK YOU. And now let’s celebrate!
I cannot wait for everyone to see the complete cut of the film that we all worked so hard to create. I’m extremely proud of it. Please come out to the festival not only to support Solstice, but all of the UTA student filmmakers.
I spent a few months of my life working a small part on this film, and I’m excited that it is finally coming back to where it all started, here in Dallas. I can finally share the film with my family and friends.
This coming week, on April 19th, Upstream Color will open it’s theatrical release at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. There will be a special preview the prior Tuesday, April 16th at 7:30pm, where most of the cast and crew will be in attendance, along with Shane Carruth who will be doing a Q&A after the screening.
This film shares a special place in my heart, and I would love to share it with you.
