This past weekend, I had the privilege to capture the essence of Pink Impact (Gateway Church‘s women’s conference) in a 45 second video. It was held this year at the Fort Worth Convention center and over 9,000 women showed up. This is what happened.
I have to brag on my best friend for a second. I asked her to be a part of this inspirational video for Gateway Church that was to play at Pink Impact for over 9,000 women. She did not hesitate, and she did an amazing job! This video was a total of about 3 full days of shooting and took us all over the metroplex, from Ft. Worth all the way to Waco. I’m thankful for Gabbie’s friendship and her willingness to always help with any need. She’s beautiful inside and out. This video touched a lot of people at Pink Impact this past weekend.
I’m excited to share this video that I had the honor of editing. God did some amazing things through Gateway Church in 2015. Here are some of the highlights.
I had the privilege of editing this 45 second promo for Seven, Gateway Church’s young adult ministry. Seven meets every Tuesday night at 7:00 PM at the Southlake, North Fort Worth, and Grand Prairie campuses.
This is a little short film I worked on. Merry Christmas!
Some set photos from this past weekend’s short film shoot. Coming this Christmas.

Russell’s story is my first testimony video to edit for Gateway. I hope that his story encourages you, as it encouraged me.
I’m excited to share the news that I have started a new job! I am Gateway Church‘s newest full time Video Editor. After only the first few weeks, I already love it. I’m so fortunate to work in such a healthy, creative environment with so many talented people around me who share the same passions. This job is truly an answered prayer. I can’t wait to share all the films and videos I’ll be editing. I have a feeling this will be a great adventure.
Changes are happening. Today was my last day to work in Dallas. It’s really tough saying goodbye to such a wonderful place and so many great people. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work at Charlie Uniform Tango, even if only for a short time. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It will be missed. More good things are right around the corner…
Last night was really special. It was VII‘s night of worship with Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. The energy of worship for the Lord and surrender that filled the room was incredible. Adding to the night for me personally, I had the privilege of creating the handwritten lyrics that were displayed on the screens. I cannot tell you what that did to my heart. Being even such a small part of the worship night gave me an overwhelming sense of confidence that God is using the creative talents He gave me to bring Him glory.
I’d like to share with you something I love to do, other than filmmaking. I love to create handmade cards in my spare time. It’s a fun creative outlet for me, and something special I can share with people on their birthday or when I’d like to say thank you.
I sell these cards on my Etsy store. I love to customize them for people, so you can request a custom order for something more personal. I also love to document each card I make on Instagram, @laramarkcards. So check it out. I’d love to make you a card!
One year ago today, on November 8, 2013, my best friend Gabriela married her best friend Jordan. 18 days later they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Sofia Harper. This was a beautiful moment that I am so happy I got to experience, and now I’m happy to share it with you. Happy first anniversary, Gabriela & Jordan!
Tonight my short film SOLSTICE won two awards at this year’s Chick Flicks Film Festival! We took home both the Student Award and the Audience Award. I am overwhelmed by the love & so excited to put to good use the Panavision camera rental package we won! I can’t wait to get started on a new film. Thank you Women in Film Dallas!
